Walkie Straddle Stackers
Walkie straddle stacker trucks can be a cost effective means of moving materials over short distances, stacking and racking materials, serving as work positioners, and serving as a mobile platform for die handlers and other manipulators.
Walkie straddle stacker trucks are not recommended for truck dock work where truck entry requires traveling across dockboards or dock levelers due to the low underclearance under the outrigger legs and frame which can result in hang-ups.
Operators of walkie trucks must be trained, evaluated, and certified by the employer prior to operating a powered industrial truck per OSHA 1910.178 (l) (1).
